Add the motorcycle category

Already licensed in category B, C, D or E? Add category A and ride motorcycles, with practical lessons on the training motorcycle and preparation for the DETRAN-CE practical exam.

What is required

Copy of your CNH, ID card (RG) and proof of residence*
Be licensed in category B, C, D or E
Pass the medical exam (and the psychological exam if you drive professionally)
Take at least 15 practical motorcycle lessons
Take the practical exam

* Proof of residence must be recent (up to 90 days) and in the candidate's name. If you do not have one in your name, DETRAN provides a residence declaration, which must be filled in legibly, without erasures, and taken to a notary office with your original ID card to have the signature certified.
